Award winning figurative artists Valeriy and Katya Gridnev return to Iona House Gallery.

Katya graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in St Petersburg in 1999. Working in oil, pastel, charcoal and watercolour. she is well known for her ballerinas that are both delicate and elegant as well as strong and sinewy. Her nudes are subtle and demure and show her skill in understanding of skin tones and the human form.

Valeriy completed his advanced studies at the St Petersburg Academy of Arts, and subsequently won the prestigious Gold Medal with his painting ‘Early Years’. He has been a member of the Russian Artists Federation since 1991 and his work hangs in collections and exhibitions worldwide.
